Field notes from the Twin Eagle team
This blog collects practical, field-tested perspective from the people who design, build, and support communications and monitoring systems for oil & gas operators. The goal is straightforward, accurate guidance — what actually works at remote sites, what to plan for, and where an integration partner adds value — drawn from real deployments across the lower 48.
What we write about
Topics span the work we do every day: industrial wireless and connectivity, tower and aerial services, remote video and AI analytics, FCC licensing and spectrum coordination, and remote well monitoring with the Remote Pumper. Each post is meant to be read by operators and engineers, not search engines, so we keep the claims specific and the jargon to a minimum.
Why it comes from the field
Twin Eagle Solutions has integrated communications and monitoring systems for oil & gas since 2001. The advice here reflects lessons learned at pad sites, on towers, and in control rooms — including the constraints that rarely make it into product brochures, like limited power, long distances, weather, and the absence of on-site IT staff.
How to use these articles
Treat each post as a starting point for scoping your own project. They explain the tradeoffs and the questions worth asking, but every site is different — coverage, terrain, power, and existing infrastructure all change the right design. When a topic maps to a decision you are facing, the fastest next step is a short conversation with our team.
Talk to an engineer
If an article raises a question about your operation, reach out and we will point you to the right approach — whether that is a site survey, a wireless design, a tower inspection, or a proof of concept on your own cameras. Field services are delivered across the lower 48, and VisionAery analytics are deployed more broadly across the U.S., Canada, and internationally.
